Online/broadcast journalist Aba Asamoah has explained that a professional journalist's revenue depends on them.
She
disclosed this during a press conference for level 400 journalism students at
AUCC on Monday February 22.
According to
Ms. Asamoah, journalism pays depending on the connections or links a reporter has
with the larger society.
“when you are a principled journalist you don't take sides” she said.
She deplored
the situation where journalists are reduced to begging for handouts because
media houses do not pay them enough.
The degree
holder in Development communication believes in equal rights and uses the
broader communication platform to tell stories of the vulnerable to support
them one way or the other.
She has no
intentions of getting any profits or any sort of benefits from the society. All
she aims for is to assist the vulnerable.
Aba Asamoah
through her articles has helped people in need of support for surgeries and
also scholarships by soliciting donations from people around the world. She has
made great impacts on society and is willing to do more.
