Media mogul, Mr. Albert Johnson who has being in the media for about three decades has revealed that, most journalists lack the ethics in journalism and are on the wrong pattern of journalism. He said this during an interview when asked to give an advice to the upcoming journalists.
Mr. Albert, who believes in discipline as success tool in his media career emphasized on how people think journalism is an easy task so therefore everyone is entering and doing his or her own thing thinking its journalism. He said, "we’ve lost it a lil while because, it looks as If media has become too cheap and too easy for people to do it but when you don’t do it right it is obviously not right”.
The fashionista and cosmetologist also made mention of the influx of anybody who gets the opportunity in some media houses trying to be media personalities or radio presenters and calling themselves journalist is wrong. They lack training and ethics therefore they should use the right part in trying to become journalists.
Mr. Johnson believes in hard work and with his last words during the interview his advice was that, everyone is passionate with money and if you work hard, God is definitely going to bless you and if you want to be a professional journalist, say what is right and don’t be driven by your belly and don’t be driven by money. If you do it right you get the right reward afterwards.
He believes in creativity and thinks that as a journalist, if you can do something different for people to follow your craft that is the turning point. If you decide to follow the trend, you might lose your professionalism and go waste. Its better try new things than get stacked with the old ways. The Media mogul would like to impact more of people in the media if he had the chance to start all over again and also do more to what he has already to make him a unique person among his peers.
